Spokane Valley’s first baseball and softball training facility for athletes of all levels.
Visual Identity
The logo and identity are constructed to appeal to both young athletes and their parents. Chosen to portray energy and movement, while also feeling clean, modern, and strong. The client and I opted for a bold gold and black palette that’s versatile enough to work on the website, in print, and on merchandise.
Website Design
OVERVIEW
The front-facing website was designed to give members and potential athletes all the info they need about the facility and its programs. It lays out offerings, schedules, and facility details, so users can feel informed before deciding to enroll.
CHALLENGES
• Organizing a large amount of content in a clear, digestible way.
• Designing layouts that guide users toward enrollment without feeling pushy.
• Ensuring the site was visually engaging while remaining easy to navigate.
• Iterating quickly based on client feedback to refine usability and messaging.
OUTCOMES
I worked closely with the client to structure content and create clear, intuitive layouts. Multiple rounds of iteration helped refine the design, making the site easy to navigate, visually engaging, and welcoming to both new and existing members. The final site has been well-received by the client and members, contributing to HumNow’s strong growth.
Mobile App
OVERVIEW
The mobile app gives HumNow athletes everything they need to stay on top of their training. They can check in, manage their schedules, book sessions, access training modules, and more.
CHALLENGES
• Designing for a wide range of ages and experience levels.
• Integrating smoothly with the existing admin portal and facility systems.

• Adapting the UI as new features and priorities emerged.
OUTCOMES
I focused on creating a UI that felt familiar and intuitive by referencing existing builds and design best practices. Visual cues and onboarding tips guided first-time users, making the app approachable for athletes of all ages and experience levels.
Admin Portal
OVERVIEW
This admin portal handles everything from checking in athletes to managing memberships, serving as the central hub for all related sub-sites.
CHALLENGES
Creating a scalable foundation to support future builds.
•
Organizing a large amount of information intuitively.
•
Deciding which functionality belonged in the MVP.
• An
ticipating friction points for this brand-new business with no established workflows.
OUTCOMES
One example of friction we encountered was the “Add Athlete” flow. Admins originally had to choose between searching for an existing athlete or creating a new one, but user testing showed this step added unnecessary complexity. Revising it made the flow simpler, faster, and more intuitive.
Overall, this project was about finding small ways to make a big system feel organized and easy to use.
(I love organization :D)
See it in action
Each piece is part of a cohesive system, working together to create a consistent experience across all media. Seeing everything in context highlights how the elements interact and support one another, showing how a large volume of materials can come together in a way that feels organized, flexible, and intentional for any audience.
